Community Services Information:
We are an outreach of
the Arcata-McKinleyville Seventh-day Adventist Church dedicated to helping
those in need in our community. The church board is our governing
body and we report to the Northern California SDA Conference. We
provide donated clothing, furniture, bedding, and miscellaneous items as
well as food on a limited basis. Our food box program is intended to assist those in
temporary need of food. It is funded by donations from church
members as well as bi-annual rummage & bake sales. We request
donations from stores and dining establishments for our fall festival
fund raiser which also supports the Community Service center. We serve residents from our local area; Hoopa, Orick,
Willow Creek, Arcata, Eureka and occasionally Fortuna. All the
food we distribute is purchased or donated by local grocery stores. Our volunteers are
church members and community members. We appreciate their
willingness to serve our community by volunteering at our Center.
